Animation : No One Knows Here Where the Morning Never Comes, for JW, 2020.
: This short moving image is my project outcome for a visual storytelling & narrative sequence in my MA course. This is about my friend who passed away in this January(2020) because of the depression. The narrative concept is 'Exploring someone's hopeless mind'. The main character dives into the symbolic space, someone’s mind and experiences what happens in there. He tried to catch the moon which is seemingly the only hope, but he failed. There were only horrible things which try to engulf him. Eventually, feeling a real hopelessness, he collapsed. At the end, he wakes up under the sunshine as if he is returning to the real world. Although there is not any sound on the video and even the running time is short, I really enjoyed making my own characters and creating the narrative based on the actual conversation I had with my friend before. When I heard my friend has died, it was literally shocking me. However, I could overcome and understand her feelings through this project.
